Who is counselling for?

Kaleidoscope counselling services are for all brains!  While my area of expertise is with children, youth, and families, I am also experienced in working with adults, particularly those who identify as neurodivergent.  I welcome clients of all neurodevelopmental identities.

Every brain is unique, and being neurodivergent does not require a diagnosis. That being said, it may be helpful for you to know that I have extensive experience working with:

  • ADHD

  • A wide range of learning, intellectual, and developmental disabilities

  • At Kaleidoscope, I recognize that not every brain is comfortable sitting quietly in a traditional therapeutic space. Instead, I deliver counselling in a variety of locations in the Thunder Bay area:

  • Like a kaleidoscope, I bring a range of approaches and principles together to design your treatment. I have extensive training and experience in:

    • Foundations of neuroscience

    • Safe & Sound Protocol

    • Trauma-informed models

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

    • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

    • Emotion-focused Family Therapy - (EFFT)

    • Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)

    • Attachment-focused

    • Anti-oppressive practice

  • Fees are offered in a tiered structure, to recognize that not everyone has access to the same financial resources.

    For each session, you can choose which tier is best for you:

    • Tier 1: $100/hour (for those with limited or no benefits)

    • Tier 2: $150/hour

    • Tier 3: $190/hour (for those with unlimited or extensive benefits)

    If the fees above are still a barrier for you, please contact me directly and we can arrange a customized fee that is within your budget.

    Kaleidoscope Mental Health counselling services can be covered by the following funding sources:

    Special Services at Home (SSAH)

    Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Core Clinical Funding

    Any benefits provider that covers social work/counseling

    NIHB
